Excuse my poor excuse for realism/a serious piece.

I FINISHED MOCKINGJAY. AND I WAS LIKE, WOW. It was so unexpected. This scene is the scene near the end, when Butercup comes back to the wreckage that is District 12 to Katniss' relatively unharmed home in the Victor's Village. I think I actually cried during that scene.
Buttercup arrives looking for Prim, and Katniss has to explain that Prim is dead (you know, after Coin set off the bombs that killed all those Capitol children). At first Buttercup keeps hissing and meowing until he realizes that Prim is never coming back. Then, despite the fact that he has hated Katniss since forever, he "protects" her as she cries and whatnot.
UNNGGGHHH this was such a great book. I'mma do more fanart since it was so great.
